After you have gone under the dentist's knife, you start your journey to recovery so that the changes that were made can take place and be more permanent. The healing process is vital because if not correctly done, the surgery will not bring about the desired effect. After you have undergone any form of oral surgery, you can expect some pain and discomfort on the wounds left in the mouth. In fact, you might even experience a lot of unpleasantness for a couple of days, but luckily tissue in the mouth heals very well, and in a couple of days, you should feel a significant change. However, during the recovery time, you need to use something cold every now and then. So, which one is better between ice and cold beverages? Ice Vs. Cold BeveragesSince the cold can dull nerve endings for a while, people love using cold things to eliminate the discomfort and pain that is widespread post oral surgery. However, the dilemma of whether either one will be harmful to the healing process encumbers many who are only looking for some type of relief, even for just a few minutes. To this end, it's better that you go with the beverages instead of the ice. Beverages such as iced coffee can be a treat, especially if you miss the caffeine, but can't take it hot yet. Not only with this drink cure your caffeine craving, but also the ice will also help you feel better. You can enjoy all sorts of cold beverages such as apple juice, ginger ale, milk, smoothies, and so much more. For one reason or the other, oral surgery might be the way to a better smile or even better quality of life. Once the operation is successful, then taking your time for the wounds to heal correctly is very important. During the times the pain or discomfort has gotten too much, take some cold beverages, and all will be right as rain....
